Excuse me, MAGA folks. politicians and pundits are telling about the shutdown that they're saying it's about transgender people in sports. And it is about giving Cadillac insurance, health insurance to undocumented immigrants, none of which is true. Okay. And then I saw this, you guys ready? This is our friend, Megan Kelly. And I just said, you know what? We got to talk about And first off, I'm going to bring in an analysis and an expert, an analyst and an expert. And that is Tim Wise. Tim Wise is a friend of the show. And Tim Wise is a very knowledgeable man. He is an author and activist, critical race theorist, and a senior fellow at the African-American Policy Forum. Tim, I know you saw this segment and you got some things to say about it.

You keep talking about, oh, my gosh, Chicago and black on black crime, because this country keeps waking up to bodies in the pews. Blood on the floor every single time. The face behind the trigger looks nearly the same. These shooters again and again and again and again look just like their base. We hear about anything but the culture of grievance and violence that the right has been feeding for decades. Something is cracked. Deep inside, when so many of you believe the answer to fear, to loss, to change is violence. Okay, pause. Are you listening to me? Pause, pause, pause. Okay, first of all, Tim, we can go on. But they chop that up in a way that, you know, we're talking about political violence.
Right. And then giving some of the circumstances of what's happening around the country right now.
Yeah.
And then they chop it up. But let's just hear what Megyn Kelly has to say, because Megyn Kelly is obviously not a serious person. But go on. I hope I'm saying it loud enough for the people in the back.
OK, so it's white men who he says are the problem in America. That'll be news to his husband, who happens to be a white man. And Don Lemon thinks that the white community needs to look at itself because we're producing the killers. We're a violent community. Just FYI, the National Institute of Justice in 2022 did an analysis of the latest 172 mass shootings show that they were 52 percent white. 20.9% black, 8.1% Latino and 6.4% Asian. Okay. So whites made up the majority 52% and blacks had 20% of the mass shootings.
I want you to get in there because you see where she's going with this. And by the way, I don't know what it has to do with my husband, but we'll talk about that. I have a few words for her and Glenn Greenwald about having a white husband and psychoanalyzing people, but yeah, she was just, she was just being catty.
Cause Glenn was in the room. She thought he would think that was funny.
