I mean the starting premise for these companies and for Dario and for Sam is that it's inevitable that somebody will build this.
So all of the action is in who builds it, how they do it, when it happens.
And
I think that's just a view a lot of people share.
They either think AI is impossible or it's inevitable.
And I think it's this like narrow path.
It's like, no, we can shape it, we can control it, we can stop it.
Um, but it is actually possible for them to build these machines that can replace us fully.
So yeah.
Yeah, no, I mean it's wild that these people are building what are now super weapons, right?
Like once Mythos was able to find vulnerabilities in every piece of software basically, it checked, including hardened classified s you know servers at the NSA.
It's like, wait, this private company that is basically not regulated at all is now able to find these vulnerabilities and and get into these systems everywhere.
And we're just going to like let them keep building them and and getting better and better.
And then the systems themselves are our security threat.
And yeah, if the Manhattan project had been privatized and unregulated, right, that'd be insane.
It would be and and that's basically the situation we're in.
But the stakes are actually higher.
Um, if you buy the like full, you know, bull case for the technology, which is like that it could fully replicate human labor across the board and be scaled up to arbitrary numbers, um, which is the the stated plan.
And so this idea that like it was always going to be the government was going to step in and take
Control of this technology.
