I mean, there was, I was always looking at different ways of doing things.

And the other part was just looking after, you know, looking after my feet throughout pre-season.

Obviously I understood that, you know, it was going to be a long pre-season and you kind of want to condition your feet to wearing boots.

So for half the session, it'd be runners, half the session, it'd be boots.

Well, I was always looking at other players.

So I spoke about, again, the fundamentals.

So I would find players within the league that did a particular skill well.

So if it was kicking, who are the players in the league that are the best kicks?

And what is it that makes them a good kick?

Is it the way they drop the ball?

Is it a technical thing?

Is it the way they balance themselves before they kick?

Are they kicking to a target or are they kicking to space?

And then I'd look at running patterns.

Why do the same players seem to always get into the right positions to receive the ball?

Like it's not just luck that they're getting there.

So what are they actually thinking about?

How are they able to read the play before any other players?

And I would either watch tape or I'd catch up with some of these players.

I'd pick their brain.
