That's not true.

I think I was the fourth or fifth pick in that draft.

Yeah.

But the reason I took number nine at Gold Coast, it was always my favourite number.

So if I had a choice at Geelong, I would have taken number nine.

And then when I moved back, as you said, number 29 wasn't available.

I didn't ask Cam Guffley for it.

I actually got a couple of my teammates to just get in his ear and say, look, would you give up the number for Gaz?

But pretty quickly, he'd been at the club long enough and he really wanted that number.

And then Andrew Mackey, a good mate of mine, his number –

became available and I said to him, how would you feel about being the second best number four at the Cats?

And he was happy with that, so away we went.

No, Mac was great.

I mean, he was – our back line was known for that.

Obviously, I was playing at the other end of the midfield.

I didn't like the back line too much.

But, I mean, we just had a group of competitors.

And I think that's a big part of the reason why we had so much success is because, you know, these guys, whether it was a training session – and I don't think you can get away with it these days, but just about every drill that we trained was a contested drill.

You know, guys wanted to win.

I mean, we had guys going off with corkies.
