And that's why we became the team we did.
Is that true with running shoes on?
That is true.
So I'm someone that's always been really big on quality over quantity.
Money over quantity.
Yeah, I think if you want to get the best out of yourself as a footballer, it's important that if there's a particular skill that you want to learn to do better, you need to learn to do it right.
So I was always very big on that, whether that be kicking the footy, running patterns, learning how to position myself around stoppages.
So I would go away, I'd watch tape on players that did it well.
I'd even catch up with players that did that particular skill well.
I'd learn just what it is that allowed them to do that at an elite level, and I'd then implement that into my training.
So I wouldn't say I was the hardest trainer in the room.
No, and he wasn't saying that either.
Yeah, but getting back to your question about the runners, so part of the reason why I did that, and it would be for the first 30, 40 minutes of a session,
And that was just to teach myself to lower my center of gravity because I thought if I'm able to change direction in runners, it's going to make it so much easier when I am wearing footy boots in a game.
So it was just trying to do something different to other players.
And I was always trying to find that edge, whether that be diet, recovery methods, different ways of training.
And...
Yeah, I felt it worked for me.
Well, I think there's this obsession with being the hardest trainer in the room.
I mean, I think we can overtrain sometimes.
