If you go through through time, you know, let's say Jensen Button was somebody who was completely the opposite.
You know, he he always wanted the car to feel under steer.
He didn't like the rear moving at all.
So he always wanted to feel that feel the car w feel the car's balance through the fact that
had a percentage of understeer.
Not a lot of understeer, but just had a percentage of understeer.
Whereas Max feels the car through having a percentage, very small percentage, I suppose you might call it of oversteer.
So it's how the driver feels it.
But but you don't really know those facts, you know black and white, until they drive your car and you try to to optimise the setup around that driver.
So Ricardo going to to McLaren
You know, it's one of those sort of things.
He didn't he didn't do a bad job against Max Verstappen.
You know, he he he probably was one of the closest to Max Verstappen at that point in time in Max's career.
So he lived with the fact the front end being being fairly high grip, high pointy, um, and the rear end not being like that.
And as you say, McLaren had a very f very funny steering characteristic at that point in time that even
Even Lando Norris took a lot of time to to find his way with.
But you know, m McLaren probably didn't recognise the fact that they had a pro a front end call it a problem.
They probably weren't aware of it.
They th maybe maybe they just thought it was Lando and how he didn't want how he drove the car.
Um and before the before they knew it, we got Ricardo in the car and suddenly, you know, the problem was highlighted again by another driver from another team.
