Because running a T P C car is not cheap, you know.

You could probably run the new the the the current car for the same sort of cost.
So why not use the current car and allow the teams to learn, allow the drivers to to exploit it a little bit?

All of the uh the the PU manufacturers and the teams knew how much they were using the MGU H, the the electric motor that was on the turbo to spin the turbo up on the start line.
They all knew that.
That was black and white fact.
It had been done for for four years.
So it wasn't a new thing to them, it wasn't a big surprise, but whenever we saw it at the first test, it looked like it was a big surprise.
Surprise.
Nobody sort of anticipated the fact that the sitting there with the engine on idle, the turbo was going to more or less stop, and suddenly you had no boost pressure and uh and no power.
And Ferrari, rightly or wrongly, you know, they they stuck with a small turbo for a long time, a smaller turbo, um for a long time.
Maybe they should have had a bigger turbo through the era of the M G
