And that's very circular to what I was just talking about with the dollar.
Christine Lagarde has given her uh opening speech already uh just a few minutes ago where you know she she talked about Europe becoming less vulnerable to outside shocks thanks to better financial framework and progress on the on the green transition.
But basically she's saying
look, you know, we've had a bit of a uh sort of a a more stable uh environment in the last uh week or so with uh with the MLU.
The question for the ECB is do we need to continue raising rates?
And I think I think sort of from a sort of a broad
ECB narrative point of view.
I mean, you know, we can get comments from Isabel Schnabel.
She she's uh she's on stage a couple of times, chairing a couple of far side chats and uh panels and things.
We know she's quite happy to continue to raising rates, and we know that policy settings are are still at neutral.
Um the question is is whether we get a whole num uh a whole sort of raft uh uh uh of a majority of ECB speakers.
speakers who are a around the area being picked up by journalists and saying are saying, Well actually, you think about all of our forecasts, it's based on a an oil price of eighty eight dollars or ninety dollars, and here we are at seventy two, to the extent that
prices hold down at these levels, go back to the beginning of the conversation, the market is just not interested in taking oil prices higher.
Um, it that then then maybe we don't need a further hike in September or December where it is, you know.
And I think that's that's that would be a takeaway if we a new a new takeaway if we were to get that kind of
you know, commentary from officials uh in and around the uh the the conference.
