You know, why would we say that?
And how does that fit in with today?
And certainly that seems very much different than what the IAEA is again saying about this massive supply overhang.
We're gonna have a super glut.
People are regurgitating the story about a super glut and everybody listening to this probably has heard it, right?
So what's this guy talking about?
Well, here's the rub.
If you look at the upstream,
And you think about the idea that we're now in the twilight of shale.
These other countries weren't able to grow production.
You've shrunk capex.
Demand is growing pretty much as forecast, which is about half of the rate of GDP.
What does that do?
Well, in 2020, and obviously all the updates since, it will do two things.
It will put pressure on OPEX capacity, which is dwindling, and it will draw down inventories.
both of which have happened.
And prior to Epic Fury, which we've had to go out of our way to make sure clients understood even before Epic Fury and the effects that it's had on the global oil balance, 2026 to us looked like it would be the year of crossing the Rubicon, where if we were right, generally our numbers are pretty good, in the back half of the year,
we were going to see OPEC's capacity actually exhausted because unlike the tables that are published saying there's four or four and a half million of spare capacity, the real number is about 700,000 a day.
Yikes.
And that if we are in the ballpark on our numbers, and generally we are, you are going to basically be at zero in the back half of the year.
