You don't have spare capacity to offset that.

And we saw the opposite, for instance, back in 1990 when Iraq invaded Kuwait,

And overnight, the world lost 4.2 million of their combined exports.

The rest of OPEC made that up in three weeks.

There was plenty of spare production capacity to deal with that loss.

That is not...

the way the markets are today.

You don't have that kind of fat in the system to deal with disruptions and dislocations, which is why not just the loss of supply from production being shut in, but the idea that Iran is going to keep its hands on the throat of tanker traffic through the PG is such a big deal.
