Um, it's really best not to try and force yourself beyond your own boundaries.
Yeah, it can have different impacts for different people.
Uh largely there can be difficulty trusting people that you get close to because the abuse happened within his family and it was ongoing.
he would have potentially felt unsupported by his parents or all alone.
Odds are there was some sort of threat going on that w you know, prevented him from sort of telling anyone, so
there would be a a lot of anxiety around letting people get close most of the time.
Um, and then often people who've experienced childhood sexual abuse feel a little broken or like there's something wrong with them.
And there's not, you know, we all have different experiences in our past and you can grow and be a wonderful person no matter what your history is.
You can incorporate that history as part of the, you know, individual that you are.
But but lots of people who have had trauma will think that there's something wrong with them and they carry that low self-esteem in mind.
So when you've had an experience of domestic violence or sexual violence, often you will need someone to earn your trust.
So people without that history can trust more naturally and and sometimes too naively.
But when you've had that experience of having that violation, then you'll need to get to know somebody more slowly.
You'll need to
see how they respond to your nos, even just normal nos like, No, I don't want to go out with you tonight or No, I'm not into
you know, seeing those type of movies or or whatever it is.
