Gareth Bale spoke to the assembled media for the first time since he arrived in France for Euro 2016.
Well, actually...
He spoke to pupils at his old school in Cardiff, Whitchurch High School.
They arranged a Skype link with his old PE teacher and two pupils, and they actually asked the first questions to Gareth Bale while he was watching the Skype link as well.
Then I got a chance to talk to him, and I pretty much said to him, well, you know, my job's redundant now, and he had a good old laugh at that.
But what we were getting to Bale...
I think what I really wanted to get to him is just some confirmation that the man that sort of 3 million Welshmen and Welshwomen want, wrapped in cotton wool and that he's fit.
I said to him, Gareth, are you 100% fit?
And he smiled and he laughed.
He said, I am absolutely 100% fit, raring to go.
