In 2021, after COVID, numbers started rising again.

And then there was no story anymore.

People, there were 850,000 asylum applications in Germany in 22, 23, 24.

Then you add to this 1.3 million Ukrainians.

The year with most refugees in German history was 2022.

So, it is not actually just a story of the AfD.

It was true.

In 2022, Germany was overwhelmed.

Large numbers of asylum seekers plus the Ukrainians.

And at that moment, you needed a clarity of Angela Merkel, a clear story.

But the point is that she never really used the Turkey example elsewhere.

And that's, I mean, what do we have to lose?

Merz, Macron, if they now say we have a vision for a system where we stop in Europe, to Europe, and then we, you know, we believe this is worthwhile everywhere, deadly irregular migration.

But we will do so without violating human rights.

We want to see resettlement as the way for people who need protection to get protection.

But we will stop the smugglers, destroy their model, and not see people die.

We want to have control.

And here is how we do it.
