Putin was involved in both of them.

That is the explanation for what we saw in the last few years.

When we look at the central Mediterranean route, the largest number of people coming are, and they are small.

We are talking Italy all year, 70,000, 60,000.

But the largest group in the last few years was Bangladeshis.

But if 20,000 Bangladeshis come from Bangladesh via Egypt or Libya to Italy, that's not climate migration of any significant extent.

And we have almost nobody from sub-Saharan Africa in recent years coming to Europe.

I think there was a strategy.

I understand it, but I think it is dangerous by people who want to draw attention to climate change to say, we need to deal with climate change because it will help us stop irregular migration.

The danger is that we can stop irregular migration the brutal way

And does that mean we don't need to care about climate change?

You know, climate change is not going, I mean, the World Bank does serious assessments regularly.

You know, I'm not making this up.

They are looking with experts on scenarios.

And they have these assessments that until the year 2050, I don't know what the latest number is, 250 million people in the world might be displaced because of climate.

These are huge numbers.

But the World Bank also says most of them will be in their own countries or in their own region.

And actually over 25 years, 250 million, you know, compared that with the internal movement we have every year now in places like China or Nigeria or India, you know, people moving in huge places.

The fact that we will have these movements and we will have them and they will be dramatic and they're important.

will not mean that more people come to Europe.
