I'm sure we've talked about it before, that other candidates are in the mix and you make a good one.
You mentioned Felipe Conte-Pomi, I think he would be a very viable contender.
But I tell you what, if it gets down to a shortlist of two or three,
you can be really sure nobody will give a better interview than Ronan O'Gara.
So I think it's a distinct possibility.
And interesting that Peter O'Mahony and Virgin Media didn't idle at the idea of it, even though you would imagine as a fellow son of Cork and a former teammate of O'Gara's, it would stick in a crawl a little bit for him.
If O'Gara ended up coaching Leinster, I'm sure I would prefer he coached Munster.
I think Munster need him more.
I think it's just a better fit in that sense.
But if O'Gara wants the Leinster job and Humphries wants to get him back in the Irish coaching ladder, it would make some sense to have him potentially pitch up at Leinster as head coach.
I was surprised by that because implied that Leinster would lead the way but that he would sign off on it.
Ultimately, it is an IRFU appointment, not a Leinster appointment.
But it seemed to me that Shane Olin and Guy Easter would be leading, whomever else would be involved, that they would be leading the charge in this.
They would be identifying candidates and they might be coming up with a short list.
But ultimately, it would be Humphreys who would ratify the appointment one way or the other.
So Humphreys will definitely have the final say.
But like you put it, Leinster will do a fair bit of the heavy lifting.
No, I found it frustrating.
