And many of the fairy stories are to educate, in particular, women about life and about innocence and about predators.
And we live in a culture where we aren't given those stories in the way that our hunter-gatherer ancestors would deliver them around the fire to give growing women the tools and the archetypal stories to be able to recognize our own innocence and also what it's like to be prey.
And
When we aren't given those stories, when we aren't taught in that way, then we find out by running into those stories and running into the parts of us that yearn, that yearn for.
And this is what happened to me.
So I fell in love deeply, madly, completely, truly, and gave all my power away.
to a man who lied.
And the decisions that I made in that process meant that I crashed my life.
And I crashed it
In spectacular Gina style.
Because I don't do something by halves when I love, and especially back then, it was all of me.
And I threw the, I rolled the dice and went, nope, I'm all in.
And I learned why now, now wise Gina can look back and say, oh, kiddo, you would have been good for you to read Bluebeard.
Yeah.
Bluebeard would have been a good one for you.
That was a really interesting moment because I ran into everything from my most unconscious part to the oldest, wisest wolf wisdom of me all in one moment.
And when he offered to pay the whole thing, no strings attached.
for about a couple of seconds i was fist bumping inside myself this is it it's the answer it's all the answers and then the wise wild old part of me that knows that we need to learn our lessons
It said, no.
And I see it this way.
