I ended up having chemo for three months while I was pregnant.

And that was a really big and really deep journey, but also something that taught me so much and something that from the outside was

could look and sound like a horror show, but where I got to in the day-to-day of that process and that journey and making that decision and keeping myself centered in that has been the foundation of so much of my adult wisdom.

What state was your baby girl in when she arrived?

So one of the things about chemo babies is they're usually healthy but tiny.

They're usually about sort of, what is it, one and a half kilos.

And Blaze was 10 pounds.

She was four and a half kilos in an hour and a half at 41.

I know, tell that to my pelvis.

I still suffer.

I still, you know, every night I'm like, oh, hello, Blaze.

And an hour and a half, that's really fast to have a really big baby, like old.

But she was healthy.

We were both bald from the chemo.

But she was just this exquisite, exquisite creature who felt like she'd been cut out from some other reality, like some other universe, and had just arrived.

Where did you even come from?

She had these eyes because she had Lee's eyes and Lee's part Chinese.

So she had these incredible eyes.

And they wouldn't blink.
