She had a language to speak to everything in the bush and everything in the bush would speak back.

And she was just this incredibly joyful person

but also calm creature.

And every moment was a dance for her.

And I just was blessed enough to be able to dance with her.

I guess I lived day to day.

You know, I've spoken a lot about Blaze.

I've written a lot about Blaze.

And people often say, parents say, I wouldn't be able to do it.

And the thing I say is it's not a club that you'd ever want to be a part of, but there is something about the mystery of birth and the mystery of death that

that are both so transformative that when we are faced with them, there is an opportunity to really show up for those lessons.

And it's hard to say whether or not we'd be able to.

And for me, when I was there, I found that I could.

I could turn up for her death.

I could turn up for the poetry of it and the horror of it.

And...

for me, the way through was to say yes.

Whatever I was feeling, whatever grief asked of me, I allowed it to be.

And so sometimes grief would ask me to hang out with my mates and laugh.

Lee would tell the most inappropriate jokes.
