Walt Disney has selected a new CEO who will take over from Robert Iger on March 18th.

Josh DeMauro is the head of Disney's Experiences unit, which includes theme parks, consumer products, cruise ships, and video games.

That unit is the biggest source of Disney's profits.

DeMauro is 52.

He's a company veteran and has been with Disney for 28 years.

He's only the ninth person to lead Disney in its 102-year history.

Iger has postponed his retirement multiple times and returned to the CEO role in 2022 after previously stepping down.

Dozens of Amazon stores are closing as soon as this weekend.

All of the Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh physical stores are closing as early as Sunday as Amazon focuses on Whole Foods and online same-day delivery.

The company is planning to open more than 100 new Whole Foods markets over the next few years.

Amazon says its Fresh & Go stores failed to deliver the right economic model and distinctive customer experience necessary for large-scale expansion.

Some California stores may be open longer because of state regulations on closings, and some of the stores that are closing will be converted into Whole Foods market locations.

Union Pacific says it will provide additional information requested by the Surface Transportation Board, which last week declared its merger application with Norfolk Southern incomplete.

The companies were invited to revise and resubmit the application.

Regulators wanted more information on the combined company's projected market share and some other documents.

The Wall Street Journal says the request is likely to delay what it's already expected to be a lengthy merger review process.
