The Abrego Garcia legal team just filed a scorched earth, severe sanctions motion against the Trump administration for defying, for defying Trump.
The court's orders, both Judge Sini's orders, that's the Maryland judge presiding over the Abrego Garcia case, and the Supreme Court's order to facilitate the release and return of Abrego Garcia.
So let's not think that there's some no harm, no foul rule because they finally brought
Abrego Garcia back after swearing up and down to the American people it was impossible to facilitate his release and return.
They did it.
And Judge Sini's, I predict, and predicting what courts will do is a bit of a fool's errand, so let me be foolish for a minute.
I predict Judge Sini's will issue sanctions and will find that the Trump administration was in civil contempt and they should pay for their defiance of court orders.
And then, of course, we've got the blockbuster case from
Judge Breyer in California saying, no, what Trump did to sort of seize control of the California National Guard was unlawful and unconstitutional.
Donald Trump can't win a case in court these days.
Now, we know all bets are off if he can bubble these things up to the Supreme Court.
And we have to hold our breath to see if enough justices will remain loyal to the Constitution.
And I hope and I even suspect that
they will, given the outrageous abuse and unconstitutional conduct of Donald Trump.
Yeah, a couple of things on that.
First of all, Judge Breyer did a really nice job in his 36-page ruling saying, you know, protesters don't lose their First Amendment rights to free speech or to assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances just because some of the folks out there involved in the protests did.
violate the law or even perpetrate violence.
