Rugby League, they have a set of play which they can all time their runs off and they're all in movement.

That's my point.

But because the ruck is dynamic in Union, we've ended up with the pod play being static, which has put the pivot play deeper and deeper.

which is what kind of Leinster have ended up because defences have responded to this play.

So I think the game needs to move away from that because defences are so comfortable now defending this pivot play.

If the ball is quick, I would like to have strong.

I would like somebody to have strong words with somebody if they put it in a pivot play because you don't see.

And this is coming back to Stephen Abood, the movement general.

You don't see the French doing it when they see the opportunity.

You didn't see the Bulls doing that today when they had that transition play and they got the ball to the wide and they kicked it through and Pranigas beats into the space.

I looked at that Bulls piece and I was like, that is lovely rugby to watch.

because it is players passing to the next guy, understanding when someone's going to come in, not passing into the space, taking the contact, flipping it on, five or six passes, short little pop passes, they get the ball to the edge, they kick through.

Simple transition rugby.

But if you put a pivot pass into that on a transition or whatever it is, you just kill the moment.

The big thing for me as well is the URC.

I think the final will be dictated by who finishes first and second in the league.

Yeah, it's a big carrot for, and I probably understand the logic which is to drive performance during the league, to get teams wanting to win on the road so that they can get that home semi and maybe home finals.
