And I think I also had to learn to do that because mum and dad had
you know, just a marriage that was, we never knew what was going to happen when we came home.
So I had to learn to read the weather really quickly.
And my brother and I both like that.
And it took me a long time to realize that, oh, so not everyone thinks like that or sees this stuff like that.
I don't think I really got that to my late 20s.
And it's such a beautiful, I love what it gives me, but I have to,
Now, we own a hotel, for example, and if I go down to the hotel and I'm already slightly drained, as in don't have much left in my cup, it's got nothing to do with the people.
It's just that when I go in there, I will read everyone.
And when they're coming up to me, my default is how do I make you feel seen?
Now, that takes energy.
And if I'm not getting anything back, because they don't mean to not give anything back, they just being who they are, I can be so depleted from an hour.
But if I go down with my cup full and I get energy.
It's amazing.
But it's something that I have to constantly, constantly calculate and that I've had to get a lot more comfortable saying no.
And Simon's really great now.
He totally understands that my social battery, particularly if I've performed and
done a show whatever I can't necessarily do anything after that I have to go you know I always laugh when I see pictures of you in the bath after because I'm exactly the same I've got to go home recharge but it makes that's what makes me good at what I do yeah and you know that within you you know that that's what's going to serve you and I'm the same I'm just like don't talk to me no noise I've got nothing like I need and it doesn't take long but then I need that once I get that then I'm back on
And actually it's like, no, you just do you in your way that you can do it.
