So my mantra at the moment is I haven't even begun.
I've just begun.
Yeah.
Because people are a bit like, oh, you know, if you let them, they're so –
unconsciously projecting their own resentment, lack of dreams, that's just their stuff.
Like, if they haven't lived a life, or their relationship hasn't been what they've been, or they've been in a little small town, you know, it's always going to make them feel better by keeping other people small.
And I've always bought into the whole belief system, Lael, just in my cells of, how good can it get?
Why wouldn't you always keep dreaming big?
I mean, I went back to drama school last year at 50.
best thing I've ever done and I could see some people a bit like this like why would you do that and I'm like why wouldn't I do that yeah and they couldn't argue because they could just see how happy I was you know I trotted down the highway twice a week to Melbourne it was the best thing I've ever done and my whole mantra is why not just reach for the stars and
I'm just beginning at 50.
I've had the most incredible career and I want to just keep growing and learning.
And I say that to Simon with, you know, with so many elements of our life, probably the most important I feel is doing the work.
Because if you do the work, all of the other stuff will just flow.
So, you know, sometimes he can get into that whole mindset of a bit like, can we just be?
Like, can we just not try and...
You know, do we need to fix this relationship?
I'm like, yes, because look how good it could get.
So that's always my motivation for let's do the uncomfortable bit.
Let's be comfortable with the uncomfortable.
