Luke, let's get the big foundations right first.
Yeah, I think from a sport perspective, and I've mentioned it a few times, I'd probably like the myth to go that athletes don't need carbohydrates, that fat is the new fuel.
From a sport like we're playing in, and then from a general public, this myth that's coming in that
Calories don't matter.
It's about whether you're on a low carb or whatever diet.
You know, calories still do matter.
The issue is there is certain ways of eating where your appetite will mean you just eat loads.
So if you eat rubbish foods,
You will just overeat, so you'll eat a lot of calories.
Whereas if you eat healthy foods, it's very hard to overeat on salmon, vegetables, and broccoli.
You know what I mean?
So calories still do count.
It's just hard to overeat if you eat the right ones.
And he's right because that feeling of fullness is what we're going to need to get from them high fibrous foods.
So if you eat a big bowl of broccoli with some salmon...
then chances are you're not going to be jumping on a chocolate bar an hour later.
So, yeah, getting these highly nutrient-dense foods into us is so important.
Again, it depends if we're talking about an athlete or a non-athlete.
And that's where context is always king.
From an athletic perspective, I think there's better ways to do it.
