And you can tell the person sort of knows, usually the person sort of knows this isn't going well, but they're kind of, you're stuck in, I've got to keep going.
The only way out of this is to keep going.
So I will often turn out then because I'm kind of able, this isn't going to be in the edit.
So there's no point referring to this in any way because it won't be in the final show.
But I'm pretty good at staying.
I mean, listen, we tape for about an hour and a half once a week.
So if I can't stay focused for that long once a week, I really should quit.
So I'm not too bad at staying focused.
Yeah, absolutely.
You know when a story's going really, really well.
And what I like about things like Miriam or Greg or people like that who are telling a great story is actually you find out much more about the other guests on the show
from how they react, you know, how they're laughing, what's making them laughing.
If they're not laughing, you'll find out more about them.
They'll reveal themselves in a way that they never will in response to any question I can ask them.
You know, they're all kind of media trained up the wazoo.
They'll have their, you know, their fixed answers to anything I ask them.
Whereas if they're spontaneously reacting to something, that's when you see who they are.
So that's what I enjoy about it too.
