You had a number of universities in Australia that were leveraging these high altitude balloons to put their sensors on these payloads that would go up and conduct atmospheric testing.

So it's been hotly debated that, well, could a high altitude balloon have been responsible for what was observed by these witnesses at Westall High School?

You just have to think objectively, think, well, if you take what the witnesses have, you know, testified, take it at face value and say, you know, what they saw was moving in ways that does not really comport with what you would expect a deflating balloon would do, moving at rapid speeds from one side of the school to the other, hovering.

I mean, it...

i've never seen a deflating high altitude balloon so i can't say with any certainty but it certainly there seems to be a disconnect it's very hard to reconcile with what the witness testified with what you would expect a deflating high altitude balloon to be doing in conditions that weren't

extreme wind or overly windy on the day on the 6th of April 1966.

So I'm open to it being really any of the hypotheses that have been put forward.

I can't lean one way or the other.

If you had to ask me which direction I would lean, I would certainly say it would

I would be of the opinion that it would be either some form of top secret technology that was being tested that something did not go to plan, or it was something completely unknown that could potentially be something that is incredibly exotic that has been reported by thousands of witnesses across the planet that we're still searching for answers on as part of this larger phenomenon that is UFOs UAP.

So I was asked that very question when I sat down.

I had the privilege of being interviewed by the Today Show, and I'm of the opinion that new information and new witnesses can always come to light and come forward respectively.

I think that is incredibly valuable to a researcher.

I know incredibly valuable to Shane if new witnesses do come forward, which they have.

So I'm certainly hopeful that...

as a result of australian stories uh feature on westall that there are additional witnesses come forward like the contact that shane had with uh with the police officer's son um the the holy grail i believe for the westall case is the fate of the department of supplies comprehensive report what happened to it where is it there must have been more than one copy because obviously the author's report then you have other copies that

are submitted internally.

So is that report somewhere sitting in a drawer in the Department of Defence's basement filing cabinet and just hasn't seen the light of day?

Is it somewhere sitting misfiled in the National Archives of Australia and no one has just come across it as of yet?
