add a qualifier and put a timeframe on it.

Another qualifier.

I think in one to two year timeframe, I'm going to put a hard sell on it because I think it's just not going to happen that fast.

I'd like to think it would, but I've been in this industry long enough to know how long this takes.

But if we're talking longer than the next one or two years, I think absolutely a hard buy.

Not to imply that all this stuff really takes off and is fully adopted, but I think if you're not doing anything after a year or two from now, then you're going to be far enough behind.

Admittedly, it's of course going to vary based on the size financial institution you are, but I think you've got to have at least a strategy or know how you're going to play in the ecosystem.

I'm going to do a hard sell here on this one.

Um, and the reason is if you, if you look at the, if you look at let's use PSD two and PSD three as background, right.

And my understanding of those, um, as well as some of the other newer stuff that's coming out is base level access, account information, transactions, et cetera, must be free.

You cannot charge.

You can only charge for value added services.

But here's the really interesting part is, well, what is value added?

And I actually think there's something missed here.

And it's funny, I even have the analogy of a VAT in Europe where all these regulations are going on and you get to charge tax at each area value is added.

For me, banks add a lot of value in that information.

Some of it is not just banks, I'm sorry, I should say financial institutions.

Some of it's around the fact that all that data is in one place.

Some of it's around how it's structured and stored.

So there's things like that.
