And and we we we found it using so many different constructs of social connection.

And and one one of the reasons that this happens, I often ask myself like why?

Why does listening, because we know it increases social connection between the speaker and the listener.

One of the interesting things about listening is that it sends meta messages.

A meta message is a message that is not conveyed through words.

For example, one of the mistakes

that listeners do is telling their speakers, I know what you mean.

Now every time I say it, it sounds really weird.

Why?

But but I know what you mean.

It's so the mistake here is that often when I say I know what you mean, one of two things happens, or both.

I become the speaker instead of the listener.

Yes, Kim, I know what you mean.

Something uh similar happened to me a while ago and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and then I become the speaker.

Now a a a more subtle but very powerful mistake and this is I'm saying a mistake but it's human and it's it's it's natural.

The thing is this is why listening requires training.
