I would have been great in the 50s with all those nuclear scares.

Yeah, absolutely.

I'd have made it.

But here's the other thing I want to discuss.

Not only did we manage to land ourselves, be landed in, because I don't want to blame ourselves for depression.

Be landed in functional depression where nothing feels good.

We're not getting any sense of completion or satisfaction or dopamine from doing the tasks that we are doing, but we're doing them.

We're basically roboting through our basic functions and feeling very little about the things that we're doing.

Compounding that comes the absolute Adriatic sea worth of guilt because, oh my God, my children are annoying me.

Yes, this is age appropriate behavior.

I'm facilitating this.

I am giving them the things and the experiences for good summer memories.

We're not going over the top, but like we're trying to make sure that summer doesn't suck for you because mom and dad have to work.

We both work from home.

There's a lot more tablet than mom likes, but mom has to pay the mortgage.

I'm trying to balance these things, but they're very insistently near me all the time.
