There there is something to be said that I and I'm sure I probably could have done like an ounce of prep for this, but no, there are probably studies about how the landscape of parenting has changed, where we now feel this intrinsic need to be with and around and engaging our children 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
And I think the internet does not help that general idea that like if we're not constantly loving on our children, we're doing it wrong and they will feel neglected if we ask them to spend any amount of time in their rooms by themselves doing independent play.
Like that's abandonment.
It's not.

That's where patience is built too.
