Every book I check out hits the auto-renew.

Now, it only auto-renews once.

So I get it for two weeks.

It does not auto-renew and sends me an angry email if this is a listed book.

But I have never kept a listed book, meaning someone else is waiting on the copy of this book.

They want to read it next.

I have never kept a copy that I knew someone was waiting for past the auto-renew date.

I give it back because someone is waiting for it.

This is proper library etiquette.

But if no one's waiting for it, it doesn't send me the angry email, I let it auto-renew if I'm not done with it.

Does that still count as on time?

Or am I giving it back late?
