Because I have anxiety.
I'm not a therapist.
But I put a scene in there that was a very, it was a straight out of my own life scene, which is something that I rarely tried to do.
A lot of times I'll take my own inspiration and twist it or.
In this case, this was inspired by my son, because in the story, they are waiting to enter a petting zoo.
And they're in the safe.
They're in the first corral without the animals waiting for their turn to go into the second corral with the animals.
And if you've ever been to a petting zoo, you know what this visual is, right?
Yeah.
You're in the emergency.
Oh, no.
One of the animals got out of the actual pen, but now they are not running amok in this public space pen.
Right.
They're waiting to go in.
And in this book, this boy is nine years old and just gleefully over the moon, excited to go pet a damn goat.
And he has chosen to express this excitement by grabbing his mother's hand.
and has no idea how strong he is as a nine-year-old boy.
So he is crushing his mother's hand in his excitement.
