Yeah, no, totally.
And I mean, it's almost a little bit of a joke sometimes when you're working on foreign desks, because often when you're talking to male editors, they'll be really interested in like, what missile was fired?
How big was it?
You know, obsessed with the kind of hardware.
But it's really interesting what you say about the kind of gamification of war.
I mean, maybe that's also a result of kind of social media and the way that we can now access kind of content related to war, right?
I mean, sometimes when you're watching, you know, these videos that are taken from drones of drone strikes and stuff, it literally looks like a video game, right?
It's quite easy, I think, to forget that there are real people on the other end of that.

You really feel like you're on the front line of what's going on.
And definitely in the kind of decade and a bit that I was based there, you could sort of almost tangibly feel this kind of
increase in pressure, and particularly after Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Coming back here, it all feels a lot more remote, right?
I mean, okay, you have the right wing media making a big fuss about the small boats and refugees coming over and things like that.
It's so small scale compared to what's happening in Turkey and in places around there.
