And this was at the time when, you know, we also had Donald Trump.
was suggesting curing COVID with beams of light and bleach and things like that.
So that's when I started to think, okay, this, like, she's in a different space of the culture.
She's in a different kind of mindset.
She's operating on a different plane.
But I would say that it was probably a little bit more, we were all just, we weren't,
I guess, deeply concerned to intervene.
It was more like, that's crazy.
That's quirky.
What are you doing?
It was really difficult.
And this is where a lot of the heartbreak and just exasperation that my Auntie Susan felt was my Auntie would take Lauren to the practitioners that she wanted to go and see.
But then she would also try and say, hey, let's also just go to this specialist or this infectious disease specialist who does deal with Lyme disease or, you know, let's go and see some other doctors too just to try and see if they might intervene.
But they didn't.
Really what happened here is the – I'm going to call them the traditional doctors or the mainstream medical doctors almost –
just recoiled from Lauren.
She would often bring in all of her research and her ideas about treatments and she'd have these tests done by these, I guess, alternative practitioners
