And she'd compile it all into these big liver arch folders and bring them to the doctors that my auntie would take her to.

And they took one look at it and said, I can't touch this.

You know, I can't help you.

No.

And they refused to engage.

And I understand why, because they don't want to risk their, you know, license to practice being revoked because they had this discussion.

But yeah, that was really the end of the line.

There was no pushing against the mainstream doctors.

So there was no really, no real way for Auntie Susan to pull her off this course.

So he, to my initial surprise, was a qualified oncologist.

And I guess I don't know what I expected.

I guess I thought a bit more of a backyard shaman or something like that.

But he worked in a hospital.

He worked in a big private hospital in the big cities of Malaysia.

He had studied in reputable institutes of medicine.

But at some point he went to Germany and discovered these more fringe treatments.

And I don't know why he decided to bring that into his practice, but he did.

And so...

Really what I believe he thinks is that he's done nothing wrong.

The reason that I was able to tell so much of the story and know exactly what happened to Lauren was because he was extremely forthcoming with all of the information.
