Um and then when Hyme comes back, just activate him and go from there and that projected roster would have a guy
like uh Max Jones on on waivers and set down.
Um however if they wanted to maybe they have some training camp battles or they don't want to risk um someone on waivers like uh maybe it's a Regula or Jones.
Um they could utilize Hyman's injury to use LTIR to exceed the cap.
Um the way that the LTR rules change, they can't go over the cap by his full cap it now.
It's it's limited at three point eight million.
So depending on how they set their opening roster, between three point six and three point eight million is how much they could exceed the cap.
So they could start the season, uh submit the roster under the cap, then right after that put Hyman on L T I R then c then potentially call someone up.
Um and in that case, um they could exceed the cap uh, but they would obviously have to get back under the cap when he's activated and by by
using L T I R they lose the ability to accrue space for that time, um, which could come back to you know to to be sp space that they might want at the trade deadline.
All right.
So
Yeah, assuming no one else is injured and they can be under the cap, yeah, they can they can accrue space from the time they're under the cap going forward.
So, you know, if we figure Hyman is out let's say thirty days, um, and they um decided to go over the cap during that time, it would basically uh make them miss out on about a hundred and sixty thousand of annual capital that they could add in the deadline.
So that might not seem like a lot, but you know, certain years they've been
really dollar in dollar out and so it could come back to haunt them but it's not a if it's only like thirty days it's not a huge cost to potentially exceed the cap.
Let's say they have another couple guys injured and they they they want to call up some more guys.
Like they could use LTIR and it's not um it's you know it's not gonna completely derail their plans for the deadline, assuming Hyman's healthy, you know, in that thirty day period and then they can get back under the cap and start a career.
