Well, the cap it, the cap it changed actually for quite a few players this year because the league minimum salary increased.
So for players that were, you know, they were just league minimum amounts, they got an increase in their salary for the remaining season.

That's, that would be one reason.
Um, the other reason would be those contracts that had deferred compensation.

So those one wouldn't match like that.
Even John Tavares in Toronto's deferred compensation wouldn't have it matched.
So yeah, those are a couple of reasons why you can't just add up the total salary divided by the term to get the right cap.
I guess the other one which we don't often see is if a player signs once the season starts and has signing bonuses or signs for multi-year and has an adjusted cap.
So we saw that when William Nylander signed partway into the season.
