Like the fact that you have to keep your private key completely secret and never show it to anybody else.

Otherwise, you'll lose all your money.

Very unintuitive for human beings.

Completely intuitive for an AI agent.

An AI agent already knows what an API key is.

It knows how to keep secrets.

And so an AI agent can handle that.

It already knows how to sign a smart contract.

It already knows how to read code.

It already knows all of the things that you would need to do in order to interact with a blockchain-based system.

And so that's why I claim, you know, you imagine I have an agent, you have an agent, we're both asleep, our agents make a deal with each other, and they just do a few rounds of negotiating the code of a smart contract.

They agree, they sign the smart contract, they engage in some kind of deal, we wake up, and the deal's already done.

That is the future scenario.

in which smart contracts are going to be the predominant way that agents are able to collaborate with each other and actually build trust in each other, even if the principles, even if you and I don't know each other and don't have to know each other.

Well, if the deal involves you, like you, the human being, then the AI agent, my AI agent, basically can't underwrite it itself, right?

Because just knowing the smart contract isn't enough to say, okay, is Bonnie actually going to follow through on the deal?

The smart contract can't verify that.

So if the good provided is digital,

And most of the time when AI agents are collaborating, they're exchanging some kind of digital goods.

You're not physically sending me something in the mail or you're not going to agree to post me on your podcast or whatever.
