So this really is, as was mentioned quite aptly by a former mayor of Broward County, Dale Honus, an opportunity for them to have the public hearing.

This is not about whether we're going to be issuing the COPN today.

This is for them to have a hearing.

And from what I've heard, there is no reason why they shouldn't have one.

They've been waiting.

Way before I even brought up some of the items for this, the item that is going to come before us that I've delayed, Chapter 3 1⁄2 revision, they have put in an application way before that.

So we're basing on a system that's currently in place where they have every right to apply and to be heard.

And that's all they want to do.

In terms of having someone on the council, that was my idea.

And in fact, nobody else thought of it.
