I live 10 minutes from Dania Beach, right where it's going to be proposed.

It's the reason why I moved here is because I love those mangroves.

I see them every single day.

And I get really emotional about this, and I'm glad that we are showing our faces.

It makes me very hopeful growing up.

in this county i've seen a lot you know i've seen a lot get destroyed um you know i've seen a lot a lot go away um and you know none of that's ever come back it's just you know i've i've said this before i said this at a different commission meeting you know our destruction of our natural areas you know it's it's death by a thousand cuts you know it's it's never a huge thing it's always a little here a little there and next thing you know it's all gone so

I hope this sets a new precedent moving forward and we continue to preserve what we have left because the state's very special.
