I mean, her politics, which sounds sort of rather remarkable, were almost secondary to the reality career that she enjoyed after that, which really made her in some ways, actually, a bit of a national treasure.

interesting is I mean she did go back into politics as a as a member of the European Parliament with Nigel Farage's Brexit party but it was really as you say when she went on Strictly Come Dancing here in the UK she was also on Big Brother she did various reality TV shows and despite the fact she had very trenchant views I mean let's be very clear I mean a colleague of mine at LBC Ian Dale who is a gay man invited her to her
to his civil partnership and despite the fact they're best friends she politely declined um to attend but nonetheless the two remain best friends so I mean I've come up against Anne Widdicombe on various panels as well and been given a bit of a telling off for not letting her uh finish and and that was just part and parcel she was very kind off mic off camera um and um yeah dearly missed and I think you've seen that in the tributes from Keir Starmer to Ed Davey, Nigel Farage etc.
Oh, absolutely.
And actually, I mean, she was latterly their crime and justice advisor, immigration advisor, which was a sort of informal role that really allowed her to go out on the media and defend Nigel Farage, because ultimately that is what she did best.
She was fantastic in the media, particularly if there was a sticky wicket.
I mean, it's hard to believe that on just Wednesday morning, she appeared on one of our radio stations here in the UK talking about
various controversies with Nigel Farage and was defending him.
She did it from Zoom, from what looked like her study.
And of course, tragic to believe that just hours later,
It's believed that that was her life then taken.
So, yeah, I mean, she was really steadfast in her loyalty to Nigel Farage.
And as he remarks and sort of quipped that in private, she would give him a ticking off.
She would give him advice.
I think she'd give him a sort of helping hand from someone who's clearly very experienced in politics.
But in public, as you say, her loyalty was completely unwavering.
Allies of Wes Streeting, the British Health Secretary, have said he is preparing to stand down amid deep frustration with the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's leadership and he could mount a formal challenge for the leadership as early as today.
