And then the sort of other update, Claire, really, is that police saying there's still nothing they've seen to suggest this horrific, tragic death is politically motivated and that they are not, despite the fact counter-terror police helped them with the arrest.
Again, there's nothing to suggest it has any terror relation.
Oh, absolutely.
And I mean, that is an additional tragedy to this, that there is now yet again a row and sort of wrangling, despite the fact that we really should be, A, focusing on the investigation and B, mourning someone like Anne Widdicombe, who, whatever your politics were, people came across Anne Widdicombe and she was a real force of nature.
And in terms of that row that you said about Nigel Farage, as you say, he went to lay a wreath, he laid flowers at the home of Anne Widdicombe and gave a speech there where he was talking about the formidable person that she was, but did also allude to the fact that it was an indictment of modern Britain, as you say.
Now, what we've had over the weekend is Reform UK sources saying that they are
are concerned by this.
They're concerned that this is part of a wider issue against intolerance in Britain, for example.
Police, though, maintaining that the investigation is ongoing and that they're keeping an open mind.
They're not ruling anything out.
But nonetheless, at this stage, there's nothing to suggest
that it had any bearing.
And then you've got, I mean, quoted by the Mail on Sunday, a source who they claim is a source close to the Widdicombe family.
And what they reported was that they do not want this murder, alleged murder, politicised in any way.
So what you have now really has descended, sadly, into sort of various...
callers of British politics sort of talking about an issue of security, which is absolutely an issue that we should be discussing.
But I think clearly there's a police investigation ongoing and officers are asking us not to speculate.
Totally.
And look, she was obviously a huge feature of politics, not least her time as an MP, her time as a minister, famously prison's minister.
She became Shadow Home Secretary.
