full predictions, but a lot of legal analysts here in the US are saying that we are

walking quickly towards a a potential hung jury here and and a judge potentially having to declare a mistrial.

Yeah, I I think a lot of people so just for context here, I I moved to Boston about three weeks after this occurred in January of twenty twenty three.

And I can tell you that I I think there was a a huge surprise amongst people in the local communities here that there was a first degree murder charge brought.

Um there w this case was met with a lot of polarization, but overwhelmingly a sense of sadness and

I think it has been very, very difficult for the prosecution to argue that charge when you see the amount of medical care.

um a medical intervention that Lindsay sought in the four months prior to what happened to those three innocent children in January of twenty twenty three.

Now when Reddington in that clip there refers to Cruz, he's talking about the Plymouth County district district attorney um who brought forward these charges, the prosecution and

If there is going to be a home jury, uh you know, it's up to the prosecution to decide whether or not they they go forward with a retrial.

I again I I don't have a legal background here and I don't want to make too many predictions.

I think it is most unlikely that they will drop the charges here and avoid a retrial.

I think there would be immense anger and polarization if they if they did that.

But I think you could be walking towards potential plea negotiations where the prosecution could go to the defence and say, Look, let's talk let's compromise here.

let's look at much lesser charges where we could reach a plea agreement.

Now, not to say it will definitely happen, but I think that is what Kevin Reddington is alluding to when he makes these comments.

And and I will say, Claire, you know, I don't know if you've had a chance or an opportunity to watch much of this trial, but when we when we talk about Kevin Reddington,

He has gone viral.

And I don't want to take away from the sensitivity of the crime we are talking about here and and what happened to these three ch three children.
