This is in the back of my mind, obviously backing up and trying to get the win tonight for the boys against the Bulldogs.
We made sure we went back to the hotel.
We all sat there as a team and had a few beers and enjoyed each other's company.
Big Loz, I think he went on radio pretty early, but he was telling us that he hadn't had a beer for four months and that if we won, he'd break it.
So, yeah, no, it was really special to share a beer with him, mate, and see him getting drunk and drunk as the night went on.
Yeah, I think it was important to do that, mate.
Obviously, we could see everything that was being written about Loz and certain players in the team and, yeah, everyone was coming after everyone and we just knew that we had to go out there and action it rather than speak words.
We had to get together.
We spoke about it as a team and, like you said, we galvanised and we had a good night out when we first went there with the 96 boys and they shared stories about going up to Suncorp and getting it done up there.
So we knew it wasn't impossible.
We'd seen it done only two years ago in the 2024 series.
So we knew what we had as a team and trained really well.
Preparation was as good as we've ever seen.
And yeah, we were as confident as ever.
Um, it's hard to say one guy, but I think like my back row partner in Liam Martin, just getting his presence back in the group.
