And I've taken my glasses off, you know, made, made, made, wiped my eyes.

I'd had sort of teary eyes or, you know, you welled up the

feeling this emotion.

Put my glasses back on and I'm having a couple of practice swings feeling the feeling in the ground.

And Pete said, you know, you don't have to pitch this.

You know, you could hit a little ship and run up onto the green and two putt from there.

And I said, Petey, if I can't hit this shot, I don't deserve to win the open.

And, uh, I pitched it.

I think it actually lipped out the pitch shot.

It was pretty close.

Right.

If it didn't about it, to me, it looked like it kind of went close to the hitting the edge when I guess 12 to 15 foot by, and then I just two putted for the bogey to win.

But yeah, the, the, um,

I still had the thought in my mind that I had to get this done.

I was in total control and there was no great joyish show of enthusiasm and joy and whatever.

When I finished, it was just, hey, I've done it now.

I've climbed the mountain.

We did what we set out to do and I'm the open champ.

It was fantastic.
