He once designed the nose of a client.

He said, before we do the house, let's get the nose right.

Can you imagine?

He designed my mother's extraordinary hair, literally everything around him.

He was very dynamic, for sure.

But my mother didn't want that life.

She led a quiet life, which was horses and riding and dogs and tea.

Very, actually.

Interesting you should say that.

And I had rather a young, glamorous nanny who I'm still very much in touch with.

And oddly, oddly...

when I was asked, and again, I sort of hesitate to talk about this, because I feel now that I've slightly earned my life rather than just accepted or been given it.

But I was asked to be a bridesmaid to Charles and Diana, which was an extraordinary time, it really was.

And there was a moment where I was like, oh, goodness.

But now I look back and think that was a bit of history.

And I should be able to talk about it.

Although I didn't earn that place.

But

All the other younger bridesmaids, we were getting ready in Clarence House.

And it was probably quite an intimidating day, and they were young enough to all have a nanny.
