I didn't.

I was at that awkward age of 12.

And so my mother had the brilliant idea of actually bringing out of retirement Gail Moseley.

And so Gail came with me as a kind of companion and friend, which was such fun.

Yes, we were sort of mini Dianas.

So it was done by, was it the Emanuels?

It certainly was.

And it was a time of the 1980s fashion of big and bouffant and a lot of material, which possibly didn't suit my personality.

I was quite a tomboy.

So I think that big bouffant dress was a slight surprise to me.

The day was remarkable.

Funnily enough, the night before was even more remarkable.

It was the Royal Fireworks in High Park.

There were enormous crowds on that day and that night of people gathering because they thought that this was a fairytale moment.

And they came and the Royal Fireworks in High Park were so well attended that afterwards we realised that London was at a standstill with the traffic and I was never going to get back with my mother to Albany.

and I had to get to Clarence House very early in the morning, and it was going to take too long, and I was going to be too tired, and suddenly Princess Margaret said to my mother, look, no problem, I'll take India back to Kensington Palace with me.

Sarah Armstrong-Jones, her daughter, was also a bridesmaid, and lovely, absolutely wonderful Sarah Armstrong-Jones.

So Princess Margaret said, come back to me.

My mother, in her mind, imagined...

fabulous, Inda will be in Kensington Palace in great comfort, it'll be fine.
