And what it made me think of is there's been a couple of instances in my life, you know, I've got three kids and there's definitely been some times where they've said something to me.
Hey, you remember when we did that like yesterday or whatever?
And we had some people over and I was having some drinks with them.
I don't remember what you're talking about.
You know what I mean?
And it really scares you a little bit because like, oh my God, you know, and it really goes, okay.
Do I have a problem?
Like, you know, and so I guess what I'm saying is the line between being coherent and not, and really like, where does the line, it's not a fine line where we know, okay, at this moment, that's when that blackout occurred.
You know, it just kind of...
depending on your body makeup, depending maybe on what you ate, so many factors go into you kind of crossing that line.
So, um, it is a relatable thing.
It is something that I can imagine that most of us, if we really think about it, we probably have experienced something similar.
Um, now that being said, um, I,
To say that most of us have experienced something like that and then killed someone obviously is an extreme thing to think.
And so obviously that's a whole different level here.
But there is something there where...
what was also interesting to me in that regard was, and I believe it was, was Bob sample that said it was that, um, there was some restraint that he remembered Derek having, you know, and being able to be like, yeah, I'm not, I'm not good when I, when I drink, um, that awareness is interesting to me, you know, uh, again, it doesn't, it doesn't, uh,
It doesn't suggest that he couldn't have done these things, but it certainly suggests to me that there's a conscience there.
And so if we're really in the same conversation as talking about Derek Sam and his actions, if we're really talking about what is a serial killer, man, it's really hard for me to really bridge that gap.
