and they were engaged at that.
So, you know, there had so much ahead of them.
So right out of the gate, the, the weight of this season was heavy.
And so, you know, being able to dive into that was, you know, it it kind of takes on a seriousness that that was apparent from the get go.
But that being said, kind of coming into I love how you distinguish your mission here in this season, because it's not to solve a case.
That's not what you're trying to do.
That's not your mission.
You've always been really outspoken about that.

Why were you so adamant about making sure that people knew?

It's not to find a killer.
It's not to do this or that.
It's to bring her home.
Why were you really adamant that that be clear?
yeah yeah you've covered off a lot of really good points there uh and first of all i'll just add that um you know you're right like you know heidi nirvan had so much in front of their whole lives and even when i was listening back to the podcast uh yesterday when i was on the drive and you know you're hearing those letters that are that are being read you know the letters that heidi had written home and
and talking about the things that they're doing and it just really strikes home that when you hear those thinking you know they wrote those letters and that only days and weeks you know before you know they lost their lives and it's just so sad to think that the time they're writing those they're so happy and excited you know and they have no idea what what's coming um you know i think
