So when you wear your national cap, you want to have access to the best players and you want to pick over internationals and you want...

But when you're a provincial coach, Bernard, if you don't have the situation where you can keep the best players in your country, imagine if O'Driscoll had left at the age of 24 and not played international rugby because he wanted to make money.

Imagine what a loss that would be to Irish rugby, you know?

And that quite simply could happen in countries like South Africa, you know?

Sure.

I suppose what I'm saying to you is that it depends which cap you wear, but I do think that don't ever kill the goose that lays the golden egg, Bernard, because the reality is the game in your country is the one that will sustain the national team.

Well, you know, Neil, I know you say that, but I say that with tongue in cheek.

They're coming back because now they miss their families.

But it's not that.

They've had enough of being overseas.

They've got young families now.

They've made enough money.

So it's not just they're coming back because they... Yes, the Wilco Lows and the Kubis Visas and those guys who came back.

I'm glad for them because they came back, got seen by the crowds.

Yeah, pressure built on the basis they should be Springboks and they've got back into the setup.

I don't think...

having stayed at Sale or Harlequins, that they would have probably got the same love from the audiences in South Africa.

So there is a positive of bringing those players back.
